Tablefox, Always Always Review
Connect with Tablefox: Facebook
Tablefox is a rock band on the move, last year the band did shows with the likes of JAMES, THE CHARLATANS, CITY CALM DOWN and THE FEELERS. The five-piece band have released two albums, read our Like A River review HERE, and are set to release their third in the fall of 2019. Tablefox is releasing their first single from that up-coming album, the track is called “Always Always.” The band is hitting hard with an alternative rock sound that was recorded by Scott Seabright Productions and mastered by Ryan Smith (ACDC, Greta Van Fleet) at Stirling Sound. Tablefox is Matt Carson – Guitar, Clinton Bell – Vocals, Chris Dickinson – Guitar & Vocals, Arie Harris – Drums and Olivia Kotze – Bass.
Positives:
A driving beat supports the catchy melody with solid productions, singing and playing.
Bottom Line:
Tablefox is back with another big sounding alt-rock tune called “Always Always.” The Auckland alt-rockers build a song form that has energy, varied feels and a memorable melody. Bells vocals are well supported by the rhythm section of Kotze and Harris as Carson and Dickinson create layers of guitar sounds to fatten the sonic stage. The vocal harmonies add to the chorus as well as to the retro-80’s sound and vibe. Tablefox has a unique sound that is both retro and innovative. “Always Always” is a great first taste of much more to come. That’s the short of it!
