Loren Nine has been playing piano since the age of two. By nine years old she wrote her first tune. If that was not enough, by thirteen she signed her first publishing deal as a singer songwriter. At sixteen she starred in a Bose Commercial which was broadcasted in the Netherlands, Italy and the USA. We featured Nine in December of 2018 on Staccatofy with her first single “Who Needs You,” (Read Review HERE) it was apparent then we were being introduced to a very special artist, the whole package, a singer and songwriter with equal passion for both. On her latest single “I Do (Really Like You).” Nine evokes a 50’s doo-wop feel with prodigious result.
Positives:
Nine has a way in her writing that gets right to the marrow of a song. Her lyrics wind your heart to the point you are feeling each word through your own experiences and relating to each word in her lyrics.
Bottom Line:
“I Do (Really Like You),” is a classic theme of falling in love and the fragility and vulnerability it can bring, but also the deep and passionate emotions you feel. Nine has captured this spirit with a mid-tempo 50s inspired sweetness that brings forth a melodiousness so lacking in today’s times. Love truly is beautiful, and Nine conveys this perfectly in her latest single. Her voice is honest and not contrived, she plays with an eloquence in service of the song, connecting with her listeners through honest, heartfelt stories. It’s easy to see why this young creative millennial is appealing so quickly to listeners across the globe. That’s the short of it!
