Positives:

From pop-inspired melodies to classic country styled ballads, to a rock-country inspired instrumentation, the one defining sound is Rhett’s engaging vocal quality. Pure, heartfelt and right on the money!

Bottom Line:

Center Point Road has something for everyone. With a wide range of styles, tempos, guest artist and Rhett’s solid singing, Center Point Road casts a wide musical net. “Up” showcases Rhett’s strong pop vocals set to a relaxed pop country beat. Rhett’s voice is warm and projects just enough country style to make it in that genre, but there is plenty of pop/rock overtones too. “Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time” [feat. Little Big Town] brings in elements of electro pop with a country flair. The drum machine and synth sounds are imperturbable and Little Big Town sounds great. They blend well will Rhett. “Look What God Gave Her” has a big beat, hip guitar work and full vocal harmonies. The music is fun, and Rhett’s sound is full and natural, this is contemporary country at its best. That’s the short of it!
