Australian born, Los Angeles based Joel Taylor debuted in 2017 with his double single “Two Sides” in the spirit of old-school practices the B-side “What Good Is Love.” It did not stop there, Taylor also released a pop laden single “Give Myself Away.” Now in 2018, Taylor has released his latest single “Moment’s Notice,” a gospel inspired tune about rebirth and growth. The single is in anticipation of his debut album coming in the first quarter of 2019. His commitment to reach every fan one performance at a time is a cornerstone to connecting with fans. “I’m ready to play every hole in the wall and then some in order to share my stories with the masses,” says Taylor. That’s the short of it!

Positives:

Excellent singing, Taylor has a full voice, even in falsetto, his voice is round and full. The choir is beautiful and give power to this powerfully lyriced piece.

Bottom Line:

Taylor has a warm and clear voice, the subtle nuances in his voice create an inviting listen. Taylor’s newest single, “Moment’s Notice,” was inspired by his decision to move to the U.S. from Sydney, leaving a tense home that drives the story behind the song and it’s Lazarus connotations. His ability to cut to the core emotion of the song, ignites the emotion behind the lyric. Grounded in a gospel tinge, the vocalist offers the listener a soulful reading.
