Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Taryn Randall also known as COTE is back again with a new single titled “Restoration,” focusing heavily on organic unadorned production, laden with guitar and a focus on COTE’s wordsmith abilities. COTE has been releasing singles with an anticipation of her impending album due out this month. COTE has a strong sense of songwriting, that when combined with her compelling and delicate vocal style, is something special. That’s the short of it!
Positives:
COTE also known as Taryn Randall focuses on the meat of the lyric in her songs, creating a touching and ethereal approach to songwriting.
Bottom Line:
Delicate and dreamy, COTE’s voice is plumose with tenderness. Contemplative and meditative COTE ruminates on heartbreak and repose. Set to a gentle arpeggiated acoustic guitar as the main driving force, with electric guitar providing etherical commentary. COTE sings a beautiful melody through a set of chord changes that is solid, but still has a few twists that will surprise. Her vocal range is full as the melody builds higher to a musical climax. There are beautiful vocal harmonies that also add to the impact of “Restoration.” Her new album releases on November 16, 2018, “Restoration,” is a keenly conceived and spiritual experience, ensuing to the full offering.
