Hailing from Spokane, Washington, Joel Ansett knew at an early age music was in his bones.  During his college years, outside of Pittsburgh, PA. her performed around campus regularly, which garnered a strong and loyal following.  He released his debut EP, The Living Room, in 2012, as well as an acoustic cover of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” which prompted CBS to write about him in 2013. That same year his song  “Loved At All” was named a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.  He took a break from playing shows and spent 2015 writing and recording his first full length album. The Nature of Us (2015), followed by The Living Room – EP (2012) and several singles.  Once again Ansett is back in the studio and has brewed up another sing “Slow Down,” that is a slow groove that releases in late April.

Positives:

A hypnotic track that soothes and excites all in one.

Bottom Line:

Ansett has once again created a single that has epic proportional merit. “Slow Down,” is ethereal yet engrossingly tranced. The hypnotic beats and his hauntingly lured voice set’s the track up for repeat listens. You will find yourself singing the track after one listen. Its penetrating sound loops and swirls and is very infectious. The production is top-notch, and Ansett is memorable. All adding up to a memorable listen. That’s the short of it!
