Those familiar with the TV Show Nashville, certainly will instantly recognize Riley Smith in the role of Markus Keen. Acting in popular shows like True Blood, True Detective, Frequency and Life Sentence, catapulted Smith to the forefront of the industry. After moving to Nashville, Smith dove into the classics and like most artists through collaborations and defining themselves he came out the other side with his own unique sound. Smith’s writing process began to reference a wider variety. “It’s what I think makes the sound unique and kinda difficult to put in a box.” Smith reveals. In a succession of singles his latest single titled “Radio,” is a heartfelt ballad that stems from life on the road.

If only, you could get on their radar or in this case, “Radio.” With catchy guitars and an interesting harmonic progression, “Radio” has a lot to keep your interest. The song form is solid and has multiple feels. Smith’s vocal style is a rewarding experience and he portrays the emotions in the lyrics perfectly. The song coveys a passionate and smooth side of Smith’s vocals. A mix of classic and current; it’s a true signature country-pop sound. That’s the short of it!
