Positives:
Rivers has an attractive voice that churns forth an honesty that penetrates your ear.
Bottom Line:
“Change,” was written back in 2017, Rivers has just turned 28 and was reflecting on the journey thus far. He could feel he was on the precipice of embarking on change. Rivers explains “Change is a song about acceptance - for me, this song is about my own personal journey of coming to terms with my flaws and what I need to do to change the things that are getting in the way of what I want. It's also about realizing that these changes needed to come from within myself and not from someone else or another external source.” Rivers expresses with a beautifully wanting emotion. His honey dripped voice flows with a true nectar of essence. Change was produced by Grammy winning producer, Scott Jacoby (Coldplay, Vampire Weekend), and was recorded at Powerstation New England with Al Carty on bass, Adam Jackson on drums, and Eli Menezes on guitar. A desirable listen throughout “Change” might just be the tonic you are looking for. That’s the short of it!
