Mr. Big, Live from Milan Review 2The power of excellent singing and shredding musicianship lives on with the spirit of the eighties in the super-group Mr. Big. Well, hot off the heels of their Defying Gravity album, the band is releasing a live set with Eric Martin (vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar and backing vocals), Billy Sheehan (bass and backing vocals), Matt Starr (drums and backing vocals) and Pat Torpey (percussion and backing vocals), because of Torpey’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. The live LP captures one of the band’s final shows with Torpey, who died from complications of Parkinson’s disease at the age of 64 on February 7, 2018, but his legacy and amazing drumming and percussion sounds live on! This is not Mr. Big’s first live album, the band knows that their energy and flawless performances will transfer to album and the fans love it. Live from Milan is a great set of music that covers all of Mr. Big’s great songs as well as highlights the impressive musicianship. The twenty-two tracks cover both the band’s early material and more recent work in equal numbers, as well as a feature guitar and bass solo, which is outstanding! This is a fun band that loves what they do, and it can be heard on every track, this is the shiz and that’s the short of it!

Positives:

Amazing singing, amazing drumming, guitar playing and bass playing. Oh, did I mention that the band is amazing? No, well, this is an amazing band.

Live from Milan is being offered in the following formats: 2CD+Blu-Ray Combo Pack, 3xLP, and MP3 (audio only), don’t miss out, you’ll want to get this.
