Guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter and visionary Richard Kruspe is releasing his third album with the marker group Emigrate titled, A Million Degrees. Kruspe is the guitarist for Rammstein, a power house hard rock band that helped develop a subgenre within German hard rock and metal known as Neue Deutsche Härte. Rammstein will release their seventh studio album in early 2019. A Million Degrees contains eleven tracks and four special guests. The album follows a Goth, post-Punk and British rock vibe with Kruspe always pushing his creative envelope. The result is a set of music that is pure and full of raw emotion. Kruspe once again shows his diverse talents and influence, and creates a stirring set of music. That’s the short of it!

Positives:

Kruspe brings in excellent guests to add variety: Ben Kowalewicz of Canadian band Billy Talent, Margaux Bossieux, a former member of the punk act Dirty Mary, Till Lindemann, lead vocalist of Rammstein, and Cardinal Copia (aka Tobias Forge) from Swedish band Ghost.

Bottom Line:

A Million Degrees brings an energetic set of creative tunes all wrapped with a wide-reaching net of influences, but all focused by Kruspe’s creative laser vision. The music builds on a punk attitude and energy. The influences will expand to pop-Punk and retract to more of the dark side with a little eighty’s synth electronica added here and there for extra spice. Kruspe’s guitar playing is always creative and on A Million Degrees we get to hear more sides of his playing style and sound pallet. His lead vocal sounds strong and with the addition of the four guest vocalist, A Million Degrees will not disappoint. The production is solid, as is the songwriting. Impeccably recorded with a mix of musicianship and songwriting that is simply prodigious. Each track is well-written and contains catchy melodies and hooks. A rocking album that is eminently listenable.
