Positives:

Pitt has an unusual vocal quality and his falsetto singing is very interesting.

Bottom Line:

Poisoned Reveries has four tracks that range in emotions and styles. “Forgotten Kids,” has an edgy folk-rock style with full vocal harmonies and well-written lyrics. “Here If You Need” has sustained keyboard sounds and is driven by the sounds of acoustic piano. The male/female vocal harmonies are very nice. The chorus has Pitt’s strong falsetto singing high and clear. “Knocked The Wind Right Out Of Me” starts with a finger-picked acoustic guitar figure. The tune develops into an energetic selection that has a warmly distorted guitar playing a catchy riff, thumping bass and rock styled drums. Pitt’s voice is marvelous as he shows a wide vocal range. Also, the song form is rich with textures and changes. Outstanding production and great songwriting allow Pitt’s vocals unique to shine through, solid and creative music. That’s the short of it!
