Baby FuzZ, Burial Review

baby-fuzZ-staccatofy-cd

Baby FuzZ is a young vocalist that writes songs from a perspective that defies any one particular genre. His songs illuminate well beyond his years. Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry also known as Sterling Fox) has earned a reputation as top tier New York session player, songwriter and music producer. Lowry co-wrote “Man on the Moon” and “If I’m Dancing” on the Britney Spears album, Glory and contributed on guitar and background vocals on “Man on the Moon.”  Over the course of his career, he has written songs with artists such as, Madonna, Max Martin, Julia Michaels, among others.  Baby FuzZ has the ability to bring out the best of indie rock and glam pop, with catchy melodies that offer an edge. Baby FuzZ has a new single titled, “Burial.” The tune is filled with smartly built sections that flourish with a 70’s rock influence, stamped with a polished indie guitar vibe and a sing-able pop melody. That’s the short of it!

Positives:

Robust and balanced production. Baby FuzZ builds the single with some surprise along the way.

Bottom Line:

Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry) brings his seasoned songwriting skills to the rock table on “Burial.” Nice use of dynamics through the form, a full mix of acoustic and electric guitars. “Burial” flows through feel changes that keep the listener interested. A moody interlude before the tune builds to a fury. Baby FuzZ has a keen rock voice and his upper register vocals are timbred perfectly for that 70s/80s Def Leppard rock God high register scream. “Burial” has a wall of sound bite and a dreaminess to it that brims with emotions that will heighten your attention.
