Born and raised in Toronto, Lo Lo’s debut single “Convenient,” rapidly gained her almost half a million streams on Spotify, enchanting audiences with her witty poetic style. At the age of thirteen, she picked up her first guitar and wrote a song urged on by her teacher giving her the beginnings of her love of music. Fast-forward, her recently released single “Yours” delves into the subject matter of lost love.  The song was written from a personal experience and she admits writing the tune helped her tap into her personal growth through depicting her experience.  That’s the short of it!

Positives:

The youthful exuberance and vulnerability of Lo Lo’s voice combined with top-shelf production communicates a fresh sound to listeners of any generation.

Bottom Line:

Lo Lo’s songwriting features a depth beyond her years. With subject matters of overcoming heartbreak and wonderlust, she connects well with the listener with deeply personal lyrics. Her electro-pop style offers a sparkling melody with well-placed beats and rhythms, giving “Yours,” a resonating message and enduring melody. Also, who can’t relate to a broken heart and pining for what was. Lo Lo’s tune addresses the subject true emotions after a break up; who can’t relate to that.
