Lisabel is a singer songwriter based in London. She has been singing and performing from a young age, studying vocals and piano before moving to London to further her musical studies. She obtained a music degree in performance graduating from BIMM London in 2016. This has afforded Lisabel the chance to perform in renowned venues such as the O2 Academy Islington, 606 Jazz club, Novikov and The Half Moon with her music and as a guest vocalist for musical collectives. Her journey is finally culminating in a debut album to be released in 2019. Until that time, her single “Green Jade,” is a scrumptious listen. That’s the short of it!

Positives:

Lisabel’s voice is intimate and organically beautiful. The soothing effect of her voice is preeminently divine. Her ability to touch the listener is a keystone element of her sound.

Bottom Line:

It is Lisabels intent to sooth the listener and to evoke their feelings of interpretation about the music, versus labeling it into one genre. Her desire is to have the music speak for itself. A mixture of soul, ambient and pop bring forth a sonic-scape. Her lyrics tackle an intimacy of informed anecdotes of love, nature and hope. “Green Jade,” offers a mystical experience that is tied together by her sweetly hued voice, that is meditative in nature, while still offering a redolent meaning. “Green Jade” was recorded at the iconic Konk Studios (built in the 70s and owned by the British rock band The Kinks) in early 2018. It was written by Lisabel and produced by Nikola Kovačević and Lisabel Biscaldi. It’s a moving and beautifully conceived tune, that is a perfect introductions to a talented new artists who is one to watch.
