Positives:

Ali has a soulful singing style that is fun to listen to and her songwriting is top shelf.

Bottom Line:

“Love and Music” is a well-written tune with a catchy melody, pop-leaning vocals and a soulful/jazzy feel. With a R&B mixed with a bossa nova bass line, Ali’s warm vocals conveys the melody. Her vocal sound is very unique and her lower register sounds are sexy and controlled. The lyrics are well written through a song form that has harmonic surprises and solid feel changes. Ali has control of her ornaments and embellishments that she places on the melodic lines. Her use of vocal harmonies is excellent, and the song has exciting vocal counterpoint in several sections that will certainly grab the ears attention. Ali is an artist that is making a joyful noise, and you need to get hip to it. That’s the short of it!
