Glenna (GLNNA) is a talented vocalist that writes pop tunes that pull influences from EDM, R&B and Hip-Hop. Born and raised in LA, she’s gotten to work with many established producers and writers. Comfortable in the pop genre world of high production and value sounds, GLNNA also explores R&B and pop in a more acoustic platform.  GLNNA has a handful of tracks with various DJs and producers that will be releasing in 2019. Her debut single, “Take the Picture,” is a song about how social media led her to a broken heart. GLNNA’s written for DJ Vice and CID. You’ve also probably heard her music on your favorite binge-worthy Bravo shows. She released a fully produced single, “Reasons” in late 2018, now she is releasing an acoustic version of “Reasons” that features her well adroit singing through her wide range and beautiful embellishments.

Positives:

Set to a drum beat and a clean electric guitar, GLNNA’s voice takes center stage. Her voice is warm and full. The song has a solid feel and displays GLNNA’s vocal talents.

Negatives:

Wish the drum pattern had more variety, but still a solid track.

Bottom Line:

“Reasons” (Acoustic) has a catchy melody and a solid song form, but the highlight is GLNNA’s vocal control. Displaying a wide range, GLNNA’s lower-register is full and warm and she effortlessly transitions to falsetto with control and solid pitch. Her R&B embellishments of the melody are also very enjoyable, well-placed and add to the dynamics and feel of the track. Which are controlled with solid pitch and clear rhythmic articulations. GLNNA has a voice! Hopefully the acoustic version of “Reasons” will inspire a whole new set of acoustic renditions from an artist that has the pipes to carry a song. GLNNA’s voice is a marvel to listen to. Honestly the song did not matter, she could sing a nursery rhyme and I would have been glued, it is her voice and the natural quality, control as she effortlessly takes the listener on an engaging auditory adventure. That's the short of it!
