Fí is a Dublin based electro-pop artist from Mullingar, Ireland. Fí takes her inspiration from dark female writers like Dua Lipa, Halsey, Tove Stryke, Shy Martin and Tove Lo. Fí was inspired to make the trip from Dublin to LA to spend six weeks working and creating with various artist and producers. While in LA, Fí had the opportunity to work with producers like: Stefan Litrownik (One Direction, Andy Grammar) and Heidi Rojas (Sam Feldt, Little Mix, Cheryl Cole). Fí is currently releasing her second single, “Feel Better,” which was recorded in Los Angeles with Shayan Amiri and co-written with Esjay Jones (Nile Rogers, Justin Tranter, Sean Kingston). Fí brings her strong vocal abilities to a single about escaping reality with a wide-ranging melody and a full production and dance-able beat. That’s the short of it!

Positives:

Fí has a warm voice that conveys the dark lyrics. The production is solid as is the song form.

Bottom Line:

Fí's ability to project power in her vocals while still maintaining the emotional vulnerability that is needed to convey the lyrics is excellent. Fí describes “Feel Better” as, “Its a dark, self-deprecating song about attempting to escape reality in order to feel good about yourself. I wanted to create a visual scene about finding a way to dissolve pain temporarily. I had the lyrics written and concept about really not feeling myself early in the year and brought it into the session with Esjay and Shayan and it was written recorded and produced in a day.” With all the elements of any great electro-pop song, the production is full. Fí exhibits control in her lower register in the verses and in her upper-register during the choruses. The track evolves over time with Fí doing some very nice vocal fills. The bridge has a feel change that adds variety to the song and lets the tune breeth. Fí is certainly one to watch and with her outstanding vocal ability, someone that we will certainly be hearing more of in days to come.
