Swedz started out with a passion for music. The two members both began their careers by producing music in their bedrooms in 2011. At the time they went to the same school and connected with each other through the magic of music. A couple of years later the first studio session was planned and they did a remix together. The remix was well received by the SoundCloud community which led to continued collaborations now and then until the idea was formed into a decision and the duo Swedz was created. They decided to put their individual careers on hold and put all of their efforts into building Swedz. Swedish producers & DJ duo Swedz sets out to conquer the electronic music scene in 2019. Swedz chose their name to salute all the amazing ”Swedes” in the EDM genre, such as Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Alesso, but also to continue these artists work with Swedz own style of electronic music to keep the ”Swedes” on the map in the EDM community. Now in 2019, the talented Sweds presents their latest four song EP titled, Eternity.
Positives:
Heavy hitting beats with exciting fills that thrill. Each of the four tracks offer exciting as it sounds, shedding light on the immense talents of Swedz, and yes, you will want to be dancing!
Bottom Line:
The duo comes out the gate strong with their newest collaboration Eternity. The four tracks keep the energy up with solid beats and melodic developments. With warbles, pulsating bass lines and rich synth sound, the Swedz show that their production skills are in top form. The title track has excellent feel changes and builds nicely overtime. “Endless” is centered around a hip chordal figure that is developed through multiple instrumentations and supported by a driving dance beat. “Lights” makes good use of tension and release, without losing focus or energy. The Swedz certainly work well together in creating music that is danceable and listenable, creating the perfect collection of tunes for work, play, and of course, getting your groove on! That’s the short of it!
