Positives:

“Oh, Sleeper” offers us strong lead singing, wonderful three-part vocal harmony and an intricate and virtuosic instrument performances.

Bottom Line:

The Arcadian Wild is always bringing fresh ideas and sounds to the folk/bluegrass table. Starting with a hip accented guitar part, full acoustic bass and soaring violin, the trio brings in the melody with style and grace. The lead vocals are solid and so are the lyrics, the melody is developed with rich vocal harmonies through a form that has multiple feels and intricate instrumental melodies. This mentality comes from years of both studying music academically and having a passion for pushing their boundaries in songwriting. “Oh, Sleeper” is a good example of why The Arcadian Wild connect with their fans and why they are one of the most buzzed about roots band out there right now. The harmony is also of note, The Arcadian Wild is adventurous and will surprise you with their hip chord progressions. Solid songwriting with excellent musicianship presented with their singing and playing. That’s the short of it!
