Good Will Remedy, Juanita Review
Connect with Good Will Remedy: Facebook |
With a long history in the local and national music scene and a C.V that includes Brisbane legends Pharaoh’s Playground and BUZZkillers – Good Will Remedy is a band well versed in strong song writing and performance craft, with an honest southern fried feel tinged foundation that is ripe with alt Countryesque Americana styling. Following their well-received self-titled debut album, and their second album Silver Lined the band cemented their place in the Americana genre. Already in 2019, the group released Live at Lefty’s injecting the energy of their live shows into a recorded format, released in February of 2019. Keeping things rolling forward and never stopping the energy the group is priming for their next EP Witness. Until then, sit back and enjoy “Juanita,” the first single off the impending EP.

Positives:
A romping tune with superb lyrics, that is instantly line dance ready! Twizzle those hips, put your boots on, it’s party time ladies.
Bottom Line:
Filled with buoyant harmonies, and good time country licks. The tex-mex, hand clapping good time rings throughout the tune. Lead Singer Will Lebihan suggests that “the strength of the songs allows quite a bit of flexibility performance wise-we work hard to ensure that the song remains king - the other flashy stuff can come later – if at all!" Lebihan has a voice that instantly warms your soul. His voice rings with the truth of Americana, filled with bluesy inflections and that Austin honky tonk sound. Americana is where the song is king - a broad genre that encompasses country, alt country and rock–and it is here that Good Will Remedy find themselves at home. That’s the short of it!
