Positives:
Honey’s music ranges from emotional ballads, to stories of life, celebrating the human emotions that life’s hurdles can bring.
Bottom Line:
To Be Continued.. is a collection of eleven tunes taking the listeners on a journey through life’s emotions, all drawn from Honey’s keen lyrical style. Songs like “Snowflakes on My Eyelashes,” deals with the subject of grief and the hopelessness it can bring. “Can't Break Through to You,” examines the all too common these days PTSD and how it can shake the human core, or the heart wrenching “Marilyn” that tells the story of a harrowing health scare. Not all the tunes are about the tragic side of life, the driving tune “Open Road,” is a classic get behind the wheel listen. The sensual country-blues sound of “Honey” offers a slinky sensual listen with a ton of sass. It’s the title track where you will find Honey at her tenderest. A song about younger days and the re-entering of a romance rekindled. Overall, the residing theme of the album is life, the good, the troubled, the hard to overcome and the times of hope. It reflects the trifles and triumphs of life’s moments. Honey exudes an honesty in her singing and writing and its easy to see why she has won so many awards in her songwriting journey. That’s the short of it!
