Positives:

Sherlock has a wanting voice, it rings with desire and is filled with ringing aspiration. The set has solid songwriting and the band is top-shelf.

Bottom Line:

The self-titled album offers up sorrowful guitar sounds with earthy vocals, driven with well-crafted tunes that linger longer. Sherlock explores touch subjects within his tunes. The songs range from hauntingly rootsy ballads, to swampy blues fashioned in the deep south. He exposes is vulnerability in his lyrics and his prowess in the music. “Atlanta” finds Sherlock displaying a solid falsetto side of his singing. “Run” is blues selection that has tasty guitar work, strong vocals and a melody that will stick to your ear bones. Each tune takes the listener through Sherlocks’ world and cast by his richly hued vocals. That’s the short of it!
