Laura Pausini, Laura Xmas (Deluxe) Review 2

Laura Pausini is a mezzo-soprano with a classic and powerful voice.  Pausini is mainly a melodic pop singer, with influences from various genres, including: Latin music, soul music and rock music. Her music is characterized by the key elements of romanticism, optimism, melancholy and surrounding melodies. Laura Xmas (English Version) is the Italian superstar’s first Christmas album. The album presents Pausini’s beautiful voice with the Patrick Williams Orchestra. Williams is an American composer who is highly recognized for his many achievements and awards in jazz, popular music, concert music and music for film and television. Twelve recordings are featured on this album, sung in English and Spanish.   “Astro del ciel” is performed in Italian and “Adeste Fideles” in Latin. A special French version of the “Noël Blanc,” also adorns the album, and that’s the short of it!

Positives:

Pausini’s voice is rich and full, she always delivers the melody with passion and heart. Each track has great arrangements by Williams and the orchestra plays the charts flawlessly. A welcomed addition to the Christmas cannon!

Bottom Line:

From festive swingers to lush ballads, Laura Xmas is a delightful Christmas album. Pausini’s vocal style is paired perfectly with the Patrick Williams Orchestra arrangements. With both English and Spanish lyrics, including the addition of Latin and French, this album will appeal to many diverse music fans, and celebrating our friends and family from all cultures is what the season is all about. Top-notch throughout, so stuff these track in your playlist and enjoy the Holidays even more!
