Asaran Earth Trio is a trio of vocalists from different corners of the globe keen on singing beautiful music from around the world. Based in New York City, the Asaran Earth Trio came together out of the desire to take different traditions in new directions, combining folk elements together with the adventure of group improvisation and each member’s musical history. Their unique sound is created by the three singing, clapping, and playing various percussion instruments. The trio contains: Astrid Kuljanic from Croatia, Artemisz Polonyi from Hungary and Anne Boccato from Brazil. The Asaran Earth Trio has released, Why Should Your Heart Not Dance. The three-part harmonies are first-rate, and the musical styles are varied, the overall program is engaging and very creative. That’s the short of it!
