Hailing from the wilds of the Yorkshire moors.  Rupert Stroud has a solid straightforward appeal to his music. His tunes have been played across BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 2 and Radio X, and his music can also be heard on hit shows on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky Sports. Stroud and his band have opened for James Blunt, Gavin James and Texas and have also shared the stage with Tom Speight, Little Comets and Jake Isaac. Stroud has a new album coming out title, Along the Low, which features ten crisp tunes that offer an anthemic aural aesthetic.

Positives:

Filled with classic rock attributes, with hook-oriented themes, the album has an overall uplifting leitmotif to its collection of tunes.

Bottom Line:

Stroud has an everyday man appeal to his music. Conveying storied songs that illuminate the everyday life and its struggles. Certainly, a solid approach as artists like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen enjoyed lasting careers with this appeal. Recorded with long-time producer and collaborator Will Jackson (Kaiser Chiefs, Embrace), Stroud is centered in indie-rock melodies that exude positive aspirations in life. That’s the short of it!
