Evan Petruzzi is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York. Petruzzi is creating music that combines her unreserved passionate singing with emotionally truthful lyrics. Her musical style is pop with overtones of bluesy ornaments and phrasing that appeals to a wide audience. Her powerful live show is supported by her five-piece band. Together they have played around the New York area at venues such as: the Mercury Lounge, The Bitter End, and Rockwood Music Hall and performed solo at open mic nights in places such as the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and The Reserve in Sarasota. Petruzzi is now releasing “Warrior.” A powerful single that Petruzzi says, “Warrior urges women to speak up, stand up, and to become warriors themselves while owning their past, embracing the present, and having the strength to create their future.” True that!

“Warrior” combines subtle vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars, electric guitars and full bass and drums to support Petruzzi’s passionate singing. The song form has variances and a solid flow. An exciting guitar solo introduces the bridge, where Petruzzi show that she has just as strong of songwriting skills as she does vocal chops. Her wide range and use of glissandos is impressive and it is all delivered with control and full of passion. Petruzzi’s lyrics flow and deliver her message with a stinging right hook. Filled with promise and fight and female empowerment. This is a strong statement from a very talented vocalist and songwriter. That’s the short of it!
