Thom Artway is a young emerging artist in the Czech music scene. He grew up with a guitar in his hands playing music on the streets in various cities. As a busker, he began at Lennon’s wall in Prague. In 2013, he recorded the EP Still Standing in the Unknown. He spent five months in Australia, where he was travelling and busking. Hedgehog, was released by Warner Music 2016. In August of 2018, “All I Know” the single was released with American distributors, once again with WM Czech Republic. Artway freely admits he is inspired by British songwriters. Now in 2019, the single “Chasing The Wires” feat. Lenny is being met with high praise in anticipation of his full-length album All I Know.
Positives:
The joining of Lenny and Artway is a provocative match. They characterize the lyrics of “Chasing the Wires,” with believable tensions, that actuate from each singer’s point of view.
Bottom Line:
“Chasing the Wires,” is the fourth cut off the album All I Know, the album itself was conceive while the artist was traveling. Artway explains, “All I Know started to be formed on Sumatra in Indonesia, where I travelled in 2017. Twenty days on the almost deserted island of Sikandang inspired me.” What is most striking about Artway is his innate ability to craft meaningful lyrics and melody that if performed acoustically would have a similar emotional vivaciousness. From a production standpoint he infuses modern distinctions that give his tunes a modern panache that is instantly recognizable. Once again Artway has captured his distinctive voice in the folk-pop idiom. That’s the short of it!
