List’s venture into the music world started with the single, “Liar Liar,” a driving electro-pop anthem featuring solid singing conveying a melody with honest lyrics. List is now releasing her second single, “Dance Till We Die,” which will also be featured in the movie Anthem of a Teenage Prophet. With a “female first” message weaved into each piece, List recognizes her position as a role model and millennial thought leader and treats her massive social media audience with the respect they deserve. The 20-year-old actress’ branching out into music shows the many talents she has and “Dance Till We Die” will certainly continue her skyrocketing musical street cred.
Positives:
With a catchy electro-pop styling, “Dance Till We Die” is a solid song with a strong melody and List’s honey toned vocals.
Bottom Line:
“Dance Till We Die” has clean guitars with repeating delays, full bass sounds and a light pop inspired beat. The chorus is catchy, with solid vocal doubling and harmonies. List’s vocal approach keeps the melody the focus, she does some well-placed ornaments, but nothing that gets in the way of the flow. The song finds List commanding an impressive vocal range with control and clear diction. The result, “Dance Till We Die” is an enjoyable tune with an empowering message by and empowered young lady that is creatively on fire. This is a strong tune and will be a good ear-worm with a melodic hook that you'll find yourself humming throughout the day. That’s the short of it!
