Producer and mix engineer Cooper Leith can usually be found behind a mixing console working on pop and R&B projects.  The LA based engineer has earned multiple New Music Friday slots and millions of plays for other artists. Leith has produced sounds for WMG and mixed/produced over a dozen indie releases this year already. Leith started to get the itch to move to the other side of the console. The multi-instrumentalist is now creating his own music with influences from contemporary pop, jazz, EDM and R&B. Leith is now presenting his debut single, “Pressure.”

Positives:

Wonderful vocals and solid production with cleverly crafted songwriting merge in “Pressure” to give a solid track that is worthy of a download.

Bottom Line:

Leith is stepping out to create his own music. In 2017, he heard a vocalist singing in the streets of LA. He was impressed with her talent. “She was playing an Ed Sheeran cover,” he says, “I was immediately taken aback by her incredible tone and knew I had to work with her in any capacity.” Not long after that chance meeting, the two were meeting in his Hollywood studio to write and perform music together. Now that vocalist, whose name is Laica, is featured on Leith’s new single, “Pressure.” “Pressure (feat. Laica),” has elements of pop-sensibility to it and a hip R&B influenced beat. Leith’s understanding of music from both sides of the mixing console makes this a winning track and Laica is the icing on the cake. That’s the short of it!
