Positives:
“Home,” offers sweet beats, and ethereal vocals that lace together for a relatable story about heartbreak.
Bottom Line:
A highly produced single, “Home,” is melodically sound. The tune is relatable and relishing in the fact, its ok to be heartbroken when a relationship has ended. Shivan explains, “based on a relationship that has ended. She has started to move on and to see other people, while he’s still in grief - longing for her to come back. At this point he just wants to know who she’s seeing and who’s taking her home, both physically and mentally.” The instrumentation supports the theme of the lyric. The vocals depict an angst of heartbreak that traverses to the listener. Heavy production, with embellishments that add to the success of the track are a cornerstone additive to push the tracks appeal. A winning sound from a talented duo.
