Cards & Sita, Blue Automobile Review
Cards & Sita is a collaboration between Los Angeles-based producer and songwriter Mike O (aka Cards) and vocalist and composer Sita. Last year the collaboration produced the single “All Over Me,” preceded by their single, “Shouldn’t Be Sorry.” Cards & Sita create a sound that is a blend of genres and productions style that land in the electro-pop and indie-soul side of the musical spectrum. Cards & Sita are now releasing their single “Blue Automobile.”
[section label=”Bottom Line”]Bottom Line: “Blue Automobile” has a relaxed feel with a beachy indie-soul vibe. The song is well produced with a 70s era overall aesthetic with mastering by Ryan Schwabe, and the single artwork was done by Maria Mendoza. The male/female sung melody is a beautiful color. The use of acoustic guitar and string sounds add a richness of orchestrational elements with a solid song flow through the form. Sita’s backing fills are airy and add an element of sexiness. Cards’ Wah-Wah guitar fills and solo are well played and enhance the song’s organic feel. The result is a beautiful collaboration that is easy on the ears and lifts the mood. That’s the short of it!
