The Bowling Green, Kentucky native Kyle Daniel grew up listening to iconic southern rockers like Gregg Allman and credits him as a lifelong musical influence. Today, he adds Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and Brent Cobb to his list of inspirations as well. At the age of sixteen, the young Daniel won the Southern Kentucky Blues Society Blues Challenge.  A year later, he was a finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.  Quickly making a name for himself in Music City, he earned the title of “Nashville’s Best Guitarist” at the 102.9 Buzz Rock Awards.  After years of being content writing songs and playing a support role for some of the top names in music, Kyle discovered a voice that had a story of its own.  Daniel’s first EP was a self-titled and was quickly made, this time Daniel was far more tedious with the process and made sure he got it exactly how he wanted it. His new EP What’s There to Say? Released on March 15, 2019.

Positives:

Daniel has a powerful voice that rattles the soul and moves your heart with his powerfully crafted lyrics cementing the deal.

Bottom Line:

What’s There to Say? offers an accessible southern-rock sound with a deeply relatable sensibilitiy that rings true with every challenge life has thrown at Daniels. What’s there to say when you’ve conceded to the hardships of life? Kyle Daniel wrestles with this question throughout his sophomore EP. A wall of jangling electric guitars and unwavering melodies, Daniel conveys and everyday man’s perspective through his songs. Filled with lyricism and a bristling with masculinity voice, his songs feel authentic and honest. That’s the short of it!
